Commercialisation refers to the process of promoting and selling products or services, including the strategies and activities to make a profit. In the context of childhood, this includes but is not limited to the rise of child influencers, children playing video games for money through e-sports, and the trend of parents creating online accounts for their children.

A social movement is a collective, organised effort by a group of people to promote or resist a social, political, economic, or cultural belief.
